For more than 100 years Harrington Memorial Hall has been a hub of the community.


What We Do

Harrington Memorial Hall and Literary Institute is a not-for-profit community hall managed by a volunteer committee of management. The hall is the ideal venue for events, parties or meetings. All funds raised through hall hire, memberships and donations are used to help pay for the upkeep of the historic venue. Local community groups including the RSL, CWA and Senior Citizens utilise the hall for meetings and events.

Hall hire and events

Harrington Memorial Hall is the only not-for-profit venue available for hire in Harrington and Crowdy Heads.

The hall can be hired for parties, weddings, receptions and other events.

Library

The Harrington Memorial Hall and Literary Institute Inc has an extensive library of fiction and non-fiction books available to borrow to members. We have something for everyone, so why not come and check out our library?

History

Harrington Memorial Hall has a fascinating history. was originally built in 1896. The original hall was situated on the eastern side of Scotts Hill (the water tower hill). In 1924 the hall was moved to its present site.
